Meet the Staff

Michael Bickler has been a wedding photographer since 1970 and has photographed over 3000 weddings. His unique style of classic portraiture and cutting edge creativity is the model for all of Camera Art's lead photographers. Mike has won numerous state, regional and national awards for his work and is in demand nationally for his services.

Marilyn Bickler, co-owner of Camera Art, is Mike's usual partner on his contemporary shoots. Her photojournalistic work is some of the best around and her 30 years in the photography business helps her know what just a passing fad is and what great photography is.

Chandra Bickler is one of the area's top photojournalists. Chandra is Mike's daughter and is probably Camera Art's most requested photographer. Her sparkly personality and ability to capture those quite intimate moments are a winning combination.

Matt Furcron trained at California State Fullerton in photography and has been with Camera Art for about 10 years. Matt is a soft-spoken individual with great people skills. One of our clients once described Matt as having "the ability to stay calm even if the world was on fire." His classic training provides Matt with the ability to pose both small and large groups with a minimum of effort and provide exceptional photos that have crisp, clean lines to them. He is one of our lead photographers that specialize in Contemporary coverage.

Bob Griffin has been a wedding photographer for some 20 years, most of that as the owner of his own studio. Several years ago Bob decided he liked the shooting part of the business a lot more than the administrative part and came to work with us here at Camera Art. He now leaves the work of matching negatives, putting proof books together and delivering orders to our office staff and does what he loves (creating beautiful wedding photos). Bob is also an ordained minister, which came in handy when the pastor didn't show a few years ago for one of his weddings. Talk about full service.

Guy Perkins is one of the leading photographers in the Pacific Northwest. His attention to detail is what sets him apart from the crowd. We constantly get rave reviews on his ability to interact with the wedding party and guests.

Carrie Leavitt is probably Camera Art's most cutting edge photographer. She is constantly pushing the envelope as to what can be done at a wedding and her photojournalistic work is exceptional. Hardly a single set of wedding proofs comes back in from the lab that Carrie hasn't tried something new. She specializes in black and white work and has the eye to truly see the photo within the photo.

Rob Layman is one of Camera Art's newest photographers, but far from being its least experienced. Rob spent many years in southern California shooting for a number of newspapers as well as organizations such as the Lakers. His newspaper experience is what makes him a great photojournalist.

Nina Sarkene is the quietest one of our staff. She uses it to her advantage to be able to move about the event and capture those photos within the photo. Nina specializes in black and white photojournalistic photography.

Sarah Hogue has been one of Camera Art's leading photojournalists for years now. Her people skills are exceptional and she has the eye to find those shots that really tell the story of your wedding.

Juan Kis came to us by way of Argentina where he was much sought after for his exceptional skills as a wedding photographer. Juan brings a distinct latin flavor to his beautiful images.
